Civil Engineering Internship – Orlando and Kissimmee Offices

KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing civil engineering and land surveying firm seeking currently enrolled civil engineering students and recent graduates for fall and spring internships in our Orlando and Kissimmee offices. Our engineering interns gain practical knowledge and experience working on active client projects under the guidance of our senior project managers. Interns build a solid foundation of technical skills working in AutoCAD Civil 3D on all project phases from concept to completion, starting with basic engineering calculations and construction document redline drafting and then progressing to more advanced drainage design, utility design and spatial site planning tasks. Additional practical experience is gained from learning how to conduct permit and code research, draft written specifications and prepare permit applications for submittal. Plus, we also offer opportunities to gain practical experience using ICPR 4.0, Water CAD, Storm CAD, Water GEMS and PONDS engineering software. Our interns also participate in weekly department meetings and occasional client meetings.

Our engineering internships are paid positions working in a meaningful and challenging environment. We also offer flexible scheduling around classes and other student commitments
